Senegalese Football Federation Releases Statement on Apron Inspection Video

Following the circulation of a video on social media showing the Senegalese national football team players and technical staff undergoing a security check on an airport apron, the Senegalese Football Federation has issued an official statement. The clarification aims to prevent any misinterpretation of the event.

Inspection Occurred at Raleigh Airport, Not San Antonio The federation clarified that, contrary to various reports, the inspection did not take place upon the team’s arrival in San Antonio. Instead, the procedure was carried out during the boarding process at Raleigh Airport on June 7, 2026, prior to the scheduled departure time.

Under-Wing Screening Procedure Applied As part of the travel logistics, the bus transporting the national team departed directly from the hotel in Raleigh to the airport apron. This protocol enabled players and staff to complete all passport and airport screening processes directly at the aircraft stairs, bypassing the standard terminal buildings and departure lounges.

Operational Efficiency and Time Savings Intended According to the statement, the primary objective of this arrangement was to optimize time and streamline the delegation’s boarding process onto the chartered flight heading to San Antonio.

The federation confirmed that all protocols were conducted in full compliance with standard airport regulations, with no disruptions or specific issues recorded during the process. Furthermore, the charter flight between Raleigh and San Antonio was completed under normal operational conditions, and the entire delegation arrived at its destination as scheduled.
