Artemis II Breaks Crewed Spaceflight Distance Record

It has been announced that NASA’s Artemis II mission has set a new record by reaching the farthest distance ever achieved in human spaceflight.

As part of the mission, the Orion capsule traveled approximately 406,700 kilometers from Earth, marking a significant milestone. This surpasses the previous record set by Apollo 13 in 1970 by around 6,600 kilometers.

Artemis II is expected to make its closest approach to the Moon later tonight.
