Iran Shot Down an F-35 Fighter Jet

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that a US F-35 fighter jet was shot down in Iranian airspace. In a statement, the IRGC said the aircraft was detected in central Iranian airspace at 02:50 local time and was targeted by a newly developed air defense system of the IRGC Aerospace Force, sustaining heavy damage.

No official statement has yet been made by the United States regarding the incident.
