United Airlines Plane Collides with De-Icing Vehicle at Denver Airport
At Denver International Airport, a United Airlines Boeing 737 collided with a de-icing vehicle. The airport worker operating the vehicle was hospitalized.
The incident occurred on the morning of March 6 as flight UA605, bound for Nashville, was taxiing for de-icing amid winter conditions. The aircraft’s right wing struck the de-icing vehicle, causing it to tip onto its side.
All 122 passengers and 6 crew members were safely evacuated using mobile stairs and transported to the terminal by bus. Passengers later continued their journey on a different aircraft.
The flight was delayed by approximately six hours. The FAA has launched an investigation into the incident.
