Restriction Decision for Air Europa and Plus Ultra from Venezuela

The Venezuelan Civil Aviation Authority (INAC) has issued a precedent-setting decision against two Spanish airlines. According to the announcement, Air Europa has been banned from all commercial aviation activities in the country, while Plus Ultra’s flight permissions between Venezuela and Spain have been completely revoked.

The decision comes shortly after the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued a risk warning regarding Venezuelan airspace. Following the warning, some international airlines temporarily suspended their operations to the region.

INAC did not provide further details on how long the restrictions will remain in effect or whether additional airlines will be affected.
