Speaking at the Cityscape Global conference, Saudi Tourism Authority President Fahd Hamidaddin announced that Saudi Arabia is preparing to establish two additional airlines as part of the country’s Vision 2030 program.
Hamidaddin stated that, in addition to the existing carriers Saudia, Riyadh Air, flynas and flyadeal, a total of three new airlines are currently in planning. One of these projects is a new national low cost carrier based in Dammam, which was approved by GACA in July 2025. The airline is expected to reach a fleet of 45 aircraft by 2030 and operate flights to over 50 international destinations.
The second airline is reported to focus on religious tourism, though specific details have not yet been shared. The third project remains in the planning phase and is expected to be announced officially at a later stage.
