US Prepares for New Aviation Show CAPEWEEK

The United States is preparing to launch a new aviation event aimed at competing with the world’s leading airshows. CAPEWEEK, organized in collaboration with NASA, the State of Florida, and Space Florida, is scheduled to take place from March 27 to April 2, 2028, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event aims to position itself as an alternative to major international aviation exhibitions such as the Paris, Farnborough, and Dubai Airshows.
According to Bloomberg, organizers are hoping that Boeing will unveil its planned next-generation passenger aircraft at the event. However, Boeing has not confirmed any plans to introduce its new aircraft at CAPEWEEK. The exhibition is intended to become a major international gathering where aircraft manufacturers showcase new models and announce significant aircraft orders.
The event will take place at the approximately 4.6-kilometer-long runway previously used for space shuttle landings. Commercial aircraft, spacecraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and next-generation technologies will be showcased, alongside flight demonstrations and industry meetings.
Organizers aim to attract more than 500,000 visitors in the coming years, while the event is expected to contribute approximately $5 billion to Florida’s economy over its first decade.
