Australian airline Qantas has announced plans to launch nonstop flights between Sydney and Cape Town, South Africa, starting October 19, 2027. The new route will mark the first scheduled nonstop service between the two cities.
Operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, the flights will run three times a week on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The seasonal service, with an estimated flight time of approximately 14 hours and 25 minutes, is scheduled to continue until March 24, 2028.
