Claw-Like Bladed Tool Resembling Wolverine and Freddy Krueger Weapons Found at Seattle Airport

During a security screening at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in the U.S., a three-bladed, claw-shaped cutting tool resembling weapons used by horror movie characters was found in a passenger’s carry-on bag.

Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers noticed a suspicious item during X-ray screening and pulled the bag aside for a closer inspection. The search revealed a bladed tool resembling Wolverine’s claws and Freddy Krueger’s bladed glove.

TSA officer Douglas Linn said that in his two years on the job, he had never come across anything like it, while supervisor Ann Rhoades, who has worked at the agency for seven years, said it was one of the most unusual items she had ever seen.

When asked whether there was a sharp object in his bag, the passenger said he wasn’t sure. He later removed the item from his bag voluntarily.

TSA officials said the prohibited item was kept from passing through the security checkpoint, and praised the officers for their careful work.
