Iberojet in Talks to Transfer Its Airbus A350 Aircraft to Air Europa

Spain-based airline Iberojet is holding talks to transfer two Airbus A350-900 aircraft in its fleet to Air Europa.
According to Preferente, a Spanish aviation and tourism news site, the negotiations are still at an early stage and no agreement has been finalized between the parties.
The talks are seen as part of a strategy by Ávoris, the group Iberojet belongs to, to unify its long-haul fleet around the Airbus A330. The company aims to streamline its fleet structure and improve operational efficiency.
Air Europa, for its part, is preparing to add the Airbus A350 to its long-haul fleet. The company, which currently operates its long-haul routes with Boeing 787 Dreamliners, had reached an agreement to purchase 20 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, with an option for 20 more. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2028 and continue through 2035.
Meanwhile, Ávoris is also in talks to take a stake in Plus Ultra, an airline whose fleet consists entirely of Airbus A330 aircraft. The move represents another pillar of the group’s strategy to restructure its airline operations.
