Boeing: Eurasia Will Need 571,000 New Aviation Personnel by 2045

U.S.-based aircraft manufacturer Boeing has announced in its 2026 aviation industry outlook that approximately 571,000 new aviation personnel will be needed across Eurasia, covering Europe, Russia, and Central Asia, by 2045. The company also forecasts that demand for commercial aviation services in the region will reach approximately $1.2 trillion over the same period.

According to Boeing’s 2026 Pilot and Technician Outlook, the region will require 153,000 new pilots, 169,000 aircraft maintenance technicians, and 249,000 cabin crew members over the next 20 years. The growing demand for aviation personnel is expected to be driven by airline fleet expansion, increasing passenger and cargo traffic, and the need to replace retiring employees.

Boeing stated that the projected $1.2 trillion demand for aviation services will cover maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) activities, spare parts supply, digital services, and training. The company emphasized the importance of developing a skilled workforce, expanding maintenance capacity, and investing in digital technologies to support the aviation industry’s continued growth.
