Turkish Airlines Decides to Purchase 150 Boeing 737 MAX Aircraft

Turkish Airlines has announced a decision to purchase a total of 150 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft as part of its growth strategy. The order will consist of 100 firm aircraft and 50 options.

Deliveries are planned between 2033 and 2037. Turkish Airlines’ Board of Directors approved the purchase decision on September 18, 2026.

The airline said the public disclosure of the decision had been postponed due to the stage of the process, the uncertainties involved and the potential impact on investors’ decisions. Turkish Airlines added that necessary measures were taken to maintain the confidentiality of the information during the postponement period.
