Turkish Airlines and CFM International Sign Engine Agreement

HY and CFM International Sign Engine Agreement
Turkish Airlines (THY) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CFM International covering the supply of engines and spare engines for up to 295 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, engine maintenance services, and the establishment of a new engine maintenance center. Of the aircraft covered by the agreement, 150 are part of the previously announced order comprising 100 firm orders and 50 options for Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The remaining 145 aircraft will consist of those already in the airline’s fleet and aircraft to be added through leasing arrangements.
Under the agreement, CFM International will provide the necessary licenses and technical support for the engine maintenance center to be established within Turkish Technic. The facility aims to develop advanced engine module and component repair capabilities, improve the predictability of maintenance costs, and provide maintenance services to other airlines.
