Three Monkeys Found Inside Passenger’s Suitcase During X-Ray Screening

Three live monkeys were discovered inside a passenger’s suitcase at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia.

The incident occurred on September 6 at Terminal 1, when an aviation security (AVSEC) officer named Shahrul noticed something suspicious in a passenger’s luggage during routine X-ray screening. A detailed inspection of the suitcase revealed three live monkeys concealed inside.

Following the discovery, the passenger was removed from the flight, while the animals were handed over to the Malaysian Quarantine and Inspection Services Department (MAQIS) and the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN) for further examination.

Airport management publicly disclosed the incident this week. No information was provided regarding whether legal action had been taken against the passenger.
