Syria’s flag carrier Syrian Air will launch nonstop scheduled flights from Damascus to Vienna and Copenhagen on September 21, 2026. The announcement was made by Omar Al-Husari, President of Syria’s General Authority of Civil Aviation and Air Transport.
Al-Husari said the new services are part of Syrian Air’s plans to expand its international network and strengthen air connectivity between Syria and European cities. Additional international routes are expected to be announced in the coming period, alongside the entry of more foreign airlines into the Syrian market.
The Vienna and Copenhagen routes follow the resumption of services to Amsterdam and Moscow, reflecting the continued rebuilding of Syria’s international aviation links.
