Riyadh Air to Launch Bangkok Flights

Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s new flag carrier, is preparing to launch direct flights between Riyadh and Bangkok. According to information circulating in aviation circles, the route will operate four times weekly starting 2 September.

Bangkok will become the airline’s third destination in East Asia. A notable detail in the schedule is that the aircraft will remain on the ground in Bangkok for roughly eight hours after arrival. The plan aims to align the return departure to Riyadh with connecting windows on European, Australian and Asian routes.

Backed by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and aiming to turn Riyadh into a global transfer hub, the carrier is also working on slots for Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Manila alongside Bangkok in Southeast Asia.
