A frequent traveler at O’Hare International Airport has criticized the airport’s lengthy taxi times, saying they have negatively affected the travel experience.
The passenger, who said they traveled to Chicago 10 times over the past five months due to a family medical issue, noted that delays both before departure and after landing have become a recurring problem.
According to the traveler, aircraft at O’Hare often take between 20 minutes and an hour to reach the gate after landing. On a recent flight from Nashville, the passenger claimed the aircraft spent 80 minutes taxiing on the ground, longer than the flight itself.
The traveler contrasted the experience with Midway International Airport, where aircraft reportedly reached the gate within minutes of landing and departures were handled more efficiently.
Despite years of construction work and billions of dollars invested in infrastructure upgrades, the passenger criticized O’Hare for continuing to experience significant delays.
