
According to claims, a Boeing 737-400 (BDSF) cargo aircraft belonging to Pakistan-based K2 Airways lost contact while operating a flight from Sharjah to Karachi. The aircraft, operating under flight code KTA1732 and registered as AP-BOI, reportedly vanished from radar screens over the Arabian Sea.
Navigation Issues Reportedly Indicated
Initial reports suggest that the aircraft, which disappeared from radar approximately 155 nautical miles off Karachi, had reported navigation problems before communication was lost. A large-scale search and rescue (SAR) operation has been initiated in the region.
Multiple Assets Participating in Search and Rescue Operations
Military and civilian assets have reportedly been deployed to support the ongoing search efforts. The assets involved in the operation are listed as follows:
- The vessel PNS ZULFIQAR has been directed straight to the incident area.
- A Saab type aircraft belonging to the Pakistan Air Force took off from Bolhari.
- An ATR-72 type aircraft belonging to the Pakistan Navy departed from Turbat.
- The commercial vessel “Lahore,” belonging to the Pakistan National Shipping Corporation, has also been deployed to participate in the ongoing search and rescue operation.
