Israel Proposes Joint Tel Aviv–New York Flights to Emirates

Israel has reportedly proposed that Emirates operate flights between Tel Aviv and New York.

According to a statement from the Israeli Ministry of Transport, the proposal specifically aims to bring Emirates into the route network. If accepted, the launch of flights would still require approval from U.S. regulatory authorities.

Following the outbreak of the Gaza conflict, Emirates suspended its Tel Aviv operations, which had continued until 2023. At the same time, U.S. airlines have also kept their Tel Aviv–New York operations suspended for an extended period.

Despite ongoing demand on the route, only Israeli carriers El Al and Arkia are currently operating services between Tel Aviv and New York.
