Boeing Fell Behind Airbus in July Deliveries
Boeing delivered 53 aircraft in July 2026. The company’s deliveries were down 17 percent from the 64 aircraft handed over in June, though they came in five aircraft above the same period last year. Airbus, meanwhile, delivered 67 aircraft in July, finishing 14 ahead of Boeing.
Boeing’s July deliveries consisted of 39 737 MAX, 10 787 Dreamliners, one 777 freighter and three 767s. In the first seven months of the year, the company delivered a total of 367 aircraft, including 279 737 MAX and 50 787s. Airbus delivered 418 aircraft over the same period, while Boeing had delivered 328 aircraft in the first seven months of 2025. In July, AerCap took delivery of nine 737 MAX and one 787-9. Air India, Lufthansa, Korean Air, Riyadh Air and United Airlines also added new 787s to their fleets.
According to Boeing’s official figures, July saw 38 new orders and eight cancellations, bringing net orders to 30. Of the new orders, 18 were for the 737 MAX and 19 for the 787. Not all of the 186-aircraft deal announced at the Farnborough Airshow was reflected in the July figures. SMBC Aviation Capital’s order for 100 narrow-body aircraft had already been recorded in June.
