A ground handling employee was seriously injured at Montreal-Trudeau Airport after reportedly being caught beneath the wheels of a French bee Airbus A350-900, registered F-HREY, during pushback. Passengers on board the aircraft, which was scheduled to operate flight BF5761 to Paris-Orly, said they heard a loud impact before the aircraft came to an abrupt stop. The employee was taken to hospital in critical condition.
The flight had originally been scheduled for Saturday evening but passengers were deplaned due to a technical issue. The service was postponed until Monday, when passengers boarded the aircraft again and the incident occurred. Some passengers were reportedly forced to spend the night at the airport because no hotel rooms were available.
