Lightning Strike at Valencia Airport Leaves Eight Injured

Eight people were injured after lightning struck Arturo Michelena International Airport in Valencia, Venezuela, during severe rain and thunderstorms.

Following the incident, Valencia Fire Department crews were dispatched to the airport and provided initial medical assistance to the injured. All eight people were taken to Ciudad Hospitalaria Dr. Enrique Tejera (CHET) for treatment and further medical evaluation.

Initial reports indicated that the lightning strike occurred near an aircraft. However, no official statement has yet been issued on whether the aircraft sustained any significant damage.
