Aerolíneas Argentinas Launches 20-Aircraft Fleet Renewal Plan
Argentina’s flag carrier Aerolíneas Argentinas has unveiled a major fleet renewal plan covering the 2027-2031 period at the Farnborough Airshow. The airline aims to add a total of 20 new-generation aircraft to its fleet during this period.
Under the plan, Aerolíneas Argentinas will receive six Airbus A330-900neo aircraft to replace its A330-200 fleet on long-haul routes, along with eight Boeing 737 MAX 10s and six Boeing 737 MAX 8s to increase capacity on domestic and regional services.
As part of the agreements signed at Farnborough, the six A330neos will be leased from Avolon, while the eight Boeing 737 MAX 10s will join the fleet through dry lease agreements arranged by Aviation Capital Group. Deliveries of the first Boeing 737 MAX aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2027, while the A330neos are expected to arrive in the first half of 2028.
The new A330-900neo aircraft will feature a three-class cabin configuration with 291 seats, including a Premium Economy cabin. The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft will be deployed primarily on high-demand domestic and regional routes to support additional capacity.
