Syrian Airlines Set to Return to Europe After 15 Years

Syrian Airlines is preparing to resume flights to Europe for the first time in nearly 15 years, marking a significant milestone in the country’s aviation recovery.

The Chairman of Syria’s General Authority of Civil Aviation confirmed that the airline plans to launch its first nonstop service to Amsterdam next month. According to the authority, the remaining regulatory procedures are currently being finalized, with operations expected to begin during the first week of July.

The planned Amsterdam route would become Syrian Airlines’ first direct link to the European Union since its services were suspended following EU sanctions imposed in 2012.
