China Southern Airlines has announced an agreement with Airbus for a total of 137 A320neo aircraft.
Under the deal, 102 aircraft will be delivered directly to China Southern, while 35 will be operated by its subsidiary Xiamen Airlines.
Deliveries are scheduled between 2028 and 2032, while the engine selection has not yet been finalized, indicating ongoing competition between engine manufacturers.
The agreement marks the latest wave of strong demand from Chinese carriers for the A320neo family. Previously, China Eastern Airlines ordered 101 aircraft, Air China placed an order for 60 units, while private carriers Spring Airlines and Juneyao Airlines added a combined 55 aircraft to the total.
