Air Canada has announced a firm order for eight Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, along with purchase options for an additional eight, as part of its plan to strengthen its long-haul fleet. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2030.
According to the company’s statement, the new aircraft are expected to support the launch of new long-haul routes and gradually replace certain aircraft currently in the fleet. The A350-1000 is anticipated to deliver lower fuel consumption and improved operational efficiency.
The order is viewed as part of Air Canada’s broader international growth strategy, with deliveries projected to continue into the second half of the 2030s.
