ANA Unveils Special Chiikawa-Themed Aircraft in Japan

Japanese airline All Nippon Airways (ANA) unveiled a specially designed Boeing 767-300ER featuring characters from the popular manga and anime series Chiikawa at a hangar at Tokyo Haneda Airport on October 18.
The aircraft, registered JA609A, features eight characters, including Chiikawa, Hachiware, and Usagi. The livery also incorporates seasonal motifs inspired by Japan’s four seasons, including flowers, leaves, and snowflakes.
The special design extends beyond the aircraft’s exterior. Economy Class headrest covers and beverage cups have also been decorated with Chiikawa characters.
The aircraft is scheduled to operate its inaugural commercial flight on October 19 as ANA flight NH661, departing Tokyo Haneda for Nagasaki at 08:15 local time. The return flight, NH664, is scheduled to depart Nagasaki at 11:00. The aircraft will subsequently operate on various routes across ANA’s domestic network in Japan.
