King Air Aircraft Crashes in Brazil, Killing Three

A Beechcraft B300 Super King Air aircraft, registered PP-EJO and operated by the Military Police, crashed on October 9 while approaching Vale do Aço Regional Airport near Ipatinga, in Brazil’s Minas Gerais state. All three military personnel on board were killed.
The twin-engine turboprop aircraft had departed from Pampulha Airport in Belo Horizonte on a proficiency check flight intended to reassess the pilots’ qualifications. According to flight tracking data, the aircraft performed a go-around during its first approach and attempted a second approach. However, it lost altitude and crashed near the airport.
Firefighters and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene, where a fire broke out in the aircraft wreckage. Brazil’s Aeronautical Accident Investigation and Prevention Center (CENIPA) has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
