Wizz Air Aircraft Lands at Ben Gurion Airport Under Military Escort Following Suspected Security Threat

A Wizz Air Airbus A321neo operating flight #W95301 from London to Tel Aviv was initially denied landing clearance at Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport earlier today due to reports of suspicious behavior during the flight.
The aircraft was held in a holding pattern for a period and was escorted to Tel Aviv by Israeli Air Force fighter jets. According to local sources, a passenger allegedly changed the name of their onboard Wi-Fi account to “ter*rist” and sent threatening messages to other passengers during the flight.
Following landing, Israeli Police units were positioned on the runway. All passengers and baggage were subjected to detailed screening with explosive detection dogs due to the possibility of an explosive device and concerns over a potential security-related incident.
In a statement, the Israel Airports Authority said that no security threat was identified after the investigations. Airport operations were reported to have returned to normal following the incident.
