Uzbekistan Airways Places Largest Order in Its History

Uzbekistan Airways has signed an agreement with Boeing for a total of 22 787-9 Dreamliners to strengthen its fleet. The order consists of 14 firm aircraft and 8 options. This step marks the largest aircraft order in the airline’s history.
Currently operating Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners on routes to Europe, Asia, and the United States, the airline will boost its capacity with the addition of the 787-9. The extended range capability will also allow it to launch flights to new long-haul destinations.
The order was announced at a ceremony attended by Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who is in the United States for the United Nations General Assembly, along with executives from Uzbekistan Airways and Boeing.
