Ural Airlines Pilot Who Landed in Field Denies Charges

The former captain of a Ural Airlines passenger aircraft that made an emergency landing in a field in Russia’s Novosibirsk region in September 2023 has denied the charges brought against him.
According to TASS, a representative of the Eastern Directorate of the Russian Transport Investigative Committee confirmed, “No, he did not admit guilt.”
The incident occurred when the aircraft, due to a technical malfunction, was unable to reach its intended airport and was forced to land in a field. All passengers survived the emergency landing without injury. Following the incident, an investigation was launched, resulting in a case being filed against the captain.
