Upgrade To Business Threat

Last year, before the Kayseri – Istanbul flight in Turkiye, a passenger caused panic among the passengers by saying ‘You didn’t upgrade me to business. We will bomb the plane”, causing panic among the passengers, a lawsuit was filed against artist Gediz S, demanding a prison sentence from 5 to 10 years for ‘hijacking or detaining transportation vehicles’.

In the indictment accepted by the Court Gediz S said, “I told the stewardess, ‘You didn’t upgrade me to business. We will bomb your plane.” I said these words to the stewardess, took my seat and she laughed. The ground service staff heard my words and told them to the pilot. They took me off the plane and took me to the police station. My words were purely for humor. I make jokes like this,” she said.
