United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby has voiced concerns over the high landing charges at London Heathrow Airport, one of the world’s busiest hubs. In an interview with The Times of London, Kirby argued that airlines should have a say in the airport’s pricing decisions, emphasizing the need to shield passengers from excessive costs.
Due to Heathrow’s elevated fee structure, many low-cost carriers tend to avoid the airport. United Airlines, however, operates multiple daily flights from Heathrow. Kirby warned that such high landing fees can directly increase ticket prices, ultimately burdening travelers. United has not yet issued an official statement on the matter.
