Two KLM Jets Contact on Ground at Schiphol

Two KLM aircraft made ground contact at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

According to local sources, one of the aircraft had completed its flight from Birmingham and was parked at its stand after landing. The other aircraft was taxiing for departure to Athens when the contact occurred.

Following the incident, passengers and cabin crew on both aircraft were escorted back to the terminal. KLM stated that affected passengers were rebooked onto alternative flights. The aircraft involved were towed to the hangar for technical inspection. The airline described the event as an exceptional occurrence and confirmed that an investigation into the cause is ongoing.
