Turkish Airlines Takes Delivery of 56th A321neo

The Airbus A321neo, registered as TC-LPP, which was manufactured at Airbus’ Hamburg facility for Turkish Airlines, was delivered to the airline last night after completing its test flights and was brought to Istanbul during the night.
With the delivery of TC-LPP, the number of A321neo aircraft in THY’s fleet has reached 56. However, due to engine issues, some of THY’s A321neo aircraft are grounded. As a solution to this problem, THY has transferred engines from some A321neo aircraft in the AJet fleet to its own fleet.
⚙️ Due to issues with Pratt & Whitney engines, airlines are sending their engines back to the manufacturer. The repair process for these engines takes approximately 300 days. As a result of these issues, the manufacturer is compensating the airlines.
