Turkey Cuts Economic and Trade Relations with Israel, Closes Its Airspace

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that Turkey has completely cut all economic and trade relations with Israel and closed its airspace to Israeli aircraft.

Ankara stated that the decision was taken in response to Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza. Turkey had previously condemned these operations multiple times, calling them disproportionate and destabilizing.
