Trump Offers $10,000 Bonus to Air Traffic Controllers Who Return to Work

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that air traffic controllers who continue working during the government shutdown will receive a $10,000 bonus.
➡️ In a social media post, Trump harshly criticized controllers who refused to work, saying: “All air traffic controllers must immediately return to duty. I will propose a $10,000 bonus to the great patriots who have not neglected their duties for their distinguished service to our nation.”
Trump described the government shutdown as a “fake attack by the Democrats,” adding that those who refuse to work will be replaced by “true patriots.”
ℹ️ In the U.S., a “government shutdown” occurs when Congress fails to approve funding for federal agencies, leading to the suspension of all non-essential government operations. Due to the ongoing shutdown, which has lasted about 40 days, thousands of federal employees — including air traffic controllers — have been working without pay.
