Trump Calls for Modernization of U.S. Air Traffic Control System

U.S. President Donald Trump has called for a complete overhaul of the country’s aging air traffic control system, citing the need for modernization in the wake of a recent fatal crash involving a military helicopter and a passenger aircraft that killed 67 people in Washington. Trump mentioned that companies like Raytheon and IBM are being considered for the modernization effort.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced that the FAA will seek a multi-year, multi-billion dollar budget from Congress to fund the transformation.
