Turkish Airlines Issues Official Statement on Middle East Flights
Turkish Airlines (THY) Chief Communications Officer Yahya Üstün announced that adjustments have been made to flight schedules due to the temporary closure of airspace in several Middle Eastern countries.
According to the statement, flights to Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and Jordan have been canceled until March 2, 2026. Services to Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman have been canceled as part of the February 28, 2026 flight schedule.
The airline noted that airspace developments in the region are being monitored in real time and that additional cancellations may be implemented in line with operational requirements. THY emphasized that flight planning is being updated dynamically with passenger and flight safety as the top priority.
