Theft at Istanbul Airport: Passenger’s Forgotten Bag Taken, Perpetrator Deported

An incident at Istanbul Airport’s international terminal was swiftly resolved by the Istanbul Airport Security Department after a passenger forgot their bag. The person who took the unattended bag was identified as an Algerian passenger.

The Algerian passenger was apprehended within minutes by security teams, and legal proceedings were initiated against him. Following the investigation, the individual was deported, and the bag was returned to its owner intact.
