TALPA: “Crew Members Are in Good Condition, Investigation Should Be Conducted by Competent Authorities”

The Turkish Airline Pilots Association (TALPA) has issued a statement regarding the cargo aircraft accident involving ACT Airlines in Hong Kong.
According to the statement, the crew members involved in the incident are in good health but are being kept under medical observation as a precaution. The association added that it is in contact with both the crew and local authorities in Hong Kong, and that updates will be shared with the public as developments occur.
TALPA also emphasized the importance of exercising caution regarding social media posts, stating: “We remind everyone to be careful about speculation circulating in media and social media following such incidents.”
The statement further stressed the importance of conducting the investigation in accordance with international standards:
“It is crucial that the investigation into the accident be carried out in line with Annex 13 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Our commitment remains that the conclusions and safety recommendations should be determined solely by the competent accident investigation authorities.”
