Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense announced that a General Dynamics F-16A fighter jet crashed during a planned night training flight. The aircraft took off from Hualien Air Base at 18:17. After some time, the pilot reported a technical malfunction. At around 19:29 local time, the pilot used the ejection seat.
According to the information received, the F-16 pilot, identified as Hsin, successfully ejected approximately 10 nautical miles east of Fengbin Village in the Hualien region. A C-130 transport aircraft has been dispatched to the area to locate and recover the pilot.
