SWISS Takes Delivery of Its First Airbus A350 Aircraft

Swiss International Air Lines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The aircraft, registered HB-IFA, departed from the Airbus facilities in Toulouse and landed at Zurich Airport on October 9, 2025.

At the ceremony attended by around 2,000 people, the aircraft was welcomed with a water salute and attracted great attention with its special “Wanderlust” livery.

HB-IFA is the first of ten Airbus A350-900s to join the SWISS fleet. After pilot training and short-haul familiarization flights, the aircraft will operate its first flight to Palma de Mallorca on October 25 and its first intercontinental service to Boston on November 20.
