Statement from Turkish Airlines regarding Kolkata Flight

Communications Director of Turkish Airlines(Yahya Ustun), stated:

“On our Airbus A330 aircraft operating flight TK727 from Kathmandu to Istanbul, a technical warning related to the right engine was received shortly after takeoff. In order to carry out the necessary checks, the aircraft diverted to Kolkata Airport in India and landed safely.

Alternative flight arrangements have been made to ensure the continuation of our passengers’ journeys.“
