Spirit Airlines Suspends Half of Its Las Vegas Flights

US-based low-cost carrier Spirit Airlines has suspended 54% of its scheduled flights from Las Vegas for the upcoming 2025 winter season. Data from aviation analytics company Cirium shows that this amounts to more than 3,400 flights being taken off the schedule, making Las Vegas the airline’s most affected hub.
Other major airports facing significant reductions include Los Angeles (LAX), San Jose (SJC), Boston (BOS), and Atlanta (ATL). In some markets, Spirit Airlines has temporarily halted all operations, leading to a 100% suspension of flights compared to the same period last year.
The airline, which has already filed for bankruptcy protection twice in 2025, is undergoing a major restructuring of its route network as it seeks to stabilize operations and reduce costs.
