Silk Way West Fleet Grows with 4th B777F

Azerbaijan-based cargo carrier Silk Way West Airlines has taken delivery of its fourth Boeing 777 Freighter (777F) as part of its fleet renewal strategy. The new aircraft entered service after a direct ferry flight from Seattle to Baku (GYD) and is seen as a key step in boosting the airline’s operational capacity.

With the arrival of the new-generation aircraft, the airline has retired two aging Boeing 747-400 Freighters from its fleet. Aiming to optimize operational efficiency and performance, Silk Way West Airlines is accelerating its transition to modern, more fuel-efficient airframes. The first phase of the fleet renewal program is planned to be completed in 2027 with the delivery of the final two Boeing 777Fs.
