Russia Extends Electronic Visa Stay for Turks to 30 Days

The Russian Cabinet’s bill commission has approved a draft law prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which proposes extending the stay of foreigners entering the country with electronic visas to 30 days. Under the current system, which includes Turkish citizens, e-visas allow a stay of 16 days from the date of entry into the Russian Federation. Currently, these visas are valid for 60 days from the date of issuance. However, the new proposal suggests extending the validity period of electronic visas from 60 days to 120 days.

According to official documents obtained by RBC, electronic visas will remain single-entry, meaning foreigners can enter Russia only once with this visa. However, the permitted stay in the country will be extended from 16 days to 30 days.
