Record-Breaking Holiday Rush at Sabiha Gökçen Airport

Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (ISG) saw record-breaking traffic during the combined period of Ramadan and spring break. On April 6, 2025, the airport served 141,931 passengers—its highest daily total ever—with 757 flights operated on the same day.
Between March 28 and April 6, ISG handled 1,284,601 passengers across 7,166 flights. In preparation for the peak, the airport implemented additional operational, security, and cleaning measures to ensure smooth travel.
ISG management stated that the airport will continue expanding its services as “The City Airport,” aiming to reach 43.2 million passengers in 2025 and strengthen its position in the international market.
