Qeshm Airlines Returns Airbus A300 to Service After Three-Year Hiatus

Iran’s Qeshm Airlines has brought its EP-FQK registered Airbus A300-600 back into service after being grounded since 2022. The aircraft underwent full maintenance and repairs using only local teams, without support from foreign companies or access to original components.

Previously, the airline had similarly restored an Airbus A320 after 11 years out of operation and completed landing gear repairs on another A300 to Airbus standards. While Iranian authorities see these moves as a sign of growing technical independence, concerns remain over the long-term safety of these aging aircraft.
