Pope Departs Türkiye | Aircraft Takes Off from Atatürk Airport

The Head of the Vatican State, Pope Leo XIV, departed Türkiye after his four-day visit at 14:55 aboard an ITA Airways Airbus A320neo, registered EI-INA, operating flight #AZ4000 from Istanbul Atatürk Airport.

A farewell ceremony was held for Pope Leo XIV at Atatürk Airport. Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu, and other officials greeted the Pope at the State Guesthouse.

Pope Leo XIV waved to those seeing him off as he climbed the aircraft stairs, departing Türkiye for Lebanon.
